Tower crane protection devices include travel limiters, overload protectors, wind speed monitors, tilt protectors, and more.

  1. Travel Limiters

Travel limiters are safety protection devices that control the travel of tower cranes. They can detect the travel between the main gear and the brake of the crane during operation. When the crane reaches the set travel limit, it can automatically stop through the controller. This protection device ensures that the travel of the tower crane is not limited by obstacles, terrain height differences, and building restrictions, thereby ensuring the safety of the crane during construction.

  1. Overload Protectors

Overload protectors are one of the most important protection devices in tower cranes. They can automatically stop the crane when an overload occurs, preventing accidental safety incidents. In some high-altitude operations and heavy-duty loading, overload protectors can help tower cranes maintain stable and reliable operation.

  1. Wind Speed Monitors

Wind speed monitors are special protection devices used to control the safety of tower cranes in high wind speed working conditions. They can monitor parameters such as generator speed, wind direction, and wind speed through the controller to maintain stable operation of the crane. When the wind speed reaches a preset limit value, the monitor will automatically shut down, thereby protecting the safety of the crane and operators.

  1. Tilt Protectors

Tilt protectors are mainly used to control the balance of tower cranes. They can detect the slope of the crane and transmit the slope information to the controller. Once the slope exceeds the safe range, the tilt protector will automatically brake, preventing the crane from tilting and causing accidents during operation.

During the construction of tower cranes, these protection devices play a very important role. They can help tower cranes maintain stable and safe operation at high altitudes and in various complex environments, avoiding safety accidents.
