  • If you want to level up as a Shadow Slicer Rogue, we have a section at the end of this guide that will show you how to develop a new character starting at level 1 using this build

Create an Overview

This build makes use of a very short cooldown on Dash, the Shadowslicer Aspect, and Shadow Clone in order to deal with the vast majority of foes in a very short amount of time while simply moving through them. This guarantees three quick hits that ultimately deal up to 300% more damage than the base attack. Because of the Aspect of Quickening Fog, as well as the ability to manually cast it and the Aspect of Escape Artist, we will be able to Dash significantly more frequently than we had anticipated.

We are trying to survive by employing a combination of Daze, Dark Shroud, and Dodge as our defensive strategies. Because we are not manually casting Dark Shroud, we are able to maintain an extremely high uptime on our stacks as a result of this. If they are unable to hit us as frequently as we are able to generate Shrouds, then the fact that we frequently dodge their attacks will allow us to amass a higher stack of Shrouds before we take damage.

Due to the frequency with which we will be dropping Smoke Grenades, Daze will be applied frequently. We will also end up with approximately 26% Dodge when our rolls are average and approximately 36% Dodge when our rolls are high. On top of this, when we have Agile active, we will receive an additional 12% Dodge. The Escape Artist's Aspect grants us a number of dodges with a success rate of 100% every 45 seconds. Because of how stat rolls and the Assimilation Aspect work, we improve our Attack Speed, Damage, and Energy levels whenever we perform a Dodge.

The Skill Gap and the Passive Structure

In this part of the discussion, we will go over each of the skills that we make use of. Abilities These are the most important abilities for the build to have.

Rapid Fire is the Rogue Skill in Diablo IV. Straight Ahead

The Core ability Rapid Fire is an excellent choice for this situation because it grants us access to additional power that enables us to deal with bosses that the build would otherwise have difficulty with. Since we do not possess a Basic Skill, we must rely entirely on the Assimilation Aspect and the Innervation passive ability in order to maintain our Energy.

Dash Dash is the focus of the build, and with assistance from the Shadowslicer and the Shadow Clone, the skill is able to hit multiple times, dealing damage that is almost comparable to that dealt by Rapid Fire in a build that is centered around D4 Season 1 Items.

Shadow Step Dash Rogue Skill Diablo IV - Rogue Skill Shadow Step Shadow Step Shadow Step is an option for Unstoppable that requires only a single point of investment and has a very low cooldown.

Smoke Grenade is a Rogue Shadow Step Skill from Diablo 4

The Smoke Grenade is something that appears quite frequently in our build. In addition to any manual casts, it is dropped by not one but two Aspects. Each use of Dash, regardless of where it came from, not only stuns the opponent but also reduces the amount of time it takes for Dash to recharge.

The Smoke Grenade is a skill available to Rogues in Diablo 4.

Skill for the Rogue in Diablo IVThe Infusion of PoisonThe Infusion of Poison

Shadow Clone Shadow Clone raises the build's damage potential by repeatedly casting Dash and Rapid Fire, which in turn increases the speed at which the build can clear out bosses and take them down.

It also provides us with a fairly sizable window of opportunity to use Unstoppable in an emergency. We are able to quickly switch the skill onto our bar in order to fully stack it at the beginning of a dungeon, and even after we swap back, the stack will still be there.

Dark Shroud is a passive ability for the Rogue class in Diablo 4.

Only the most important passives that we absolutely need to have, in addition to the Key passive, are going to be discussed here. However, there are a couple of steps that we will, unfortunately, have to take in order to gain access to these. The interaction of these two effects demonstrates that it is financially beneficial to strengthen the structure's resistance to wear and tear.

Rogue passives in D4 Season 1 Items referred to as SturdyRobustly built

Our enemies that are close to us take less damage from us thanks to the protection that Sturdy provides. This is especially helpful because melee attackers tend to deal more damage per hit.

Weapon Mastery provides us with some beneficial damage bonuses that are dependent on the weapons we use. In the section on gearing, we'll go into a bit more detail on this topic.

Diablo 4 Rogue Passives for the Ability "Agile"It is agile.

After using a cooldown, Agile will grant us a temporary increase in our Dodge of 12% for a short period of time. Because Dash can use it so often, there is a good chance that this effect will be active for a considerable amount of time.

Malice is the name of a Rogue Passive in Diablo 4. ill will

Even though we aren't putting a significant amount of resources into Vulnerable outside of the stat rolls on our weapons and the Paragon Board, we should still end up with a sufficient amount to make this more than worth the points.

Debilitating Toxins are one of the Rogue Passives in Diablo 4. Toxins with a Debilitating Effect

Debilitating Toxins adds an additional layer of defense to the build, reducing the amount of damage poisoned foes are able to deal to us. This is more beneficial when used against Elites and Bosses than it is against weak packs of mobs, but it is still helpful when trying to push higher Nightmare tiers.

Outside of the realm of the Assimilation Aspect, one of the ways that we maintain our Energy is through the practice of Innervation. Because Dash can hit multiple targets at once and Rapid Fier can hit multiple times, we will frequently be able to trigger this ability frequently enough to maintain our energy. Because of how well it works in conjunction with the build, we are going to investigate the possibility of augmenting this effect using our amulet.

Alternately, you could make Weapon Mastery your objective if you're not particularly interested in acquiring an amulet that can only be used with this build.
