Normal Variant

The base version of the Ice Kobold Axeman is your introduction to Dark And Darker Gold this chilling foe. Though less dangerous than its evolved forms, underestimating it can lead to a swift death.

Attack Patterns:

Vertical Slash: A straightforward overhead strike. This attack is relatively easy to read and can be dodged by sidestepping (strafing) or creating distance (spacing).

Diagonal Slash: This attack arcs from the enemy's high right to its low left (from the monster's point of view). It's slightly trickier than the vertical slash, but with practice, players can bait it and counterattack during its recovery window.

Positioning and movement are key. Don't just stand and trade hits. Use the terrain, lure the Axeman into overcommitting, and respond with precise strikes of your own.

Elite Variant

The Elite version of the Ice Kobold Axeman is a serious step up. It possesses the same moveset as the Normal version but adds increased stats that raise the stakes considerably.

Key Differences:

Increased Damage: A single hit can cripple lightly armored players, making dodging even more essential.

Faster Action Speed: The Axeman executes his attacks with less telegraphing, demanding quicker reaction times.

Higher Health Pool: This makes it harder to burst down, prolonging the fight and raising the risk of mistakes.

At this level, high-quality Dark and Darker Items like enchanted armor or weapons with elemental effects become invaluable. They give you the durability and firepower needed to withstand and overcome the Elite's improved combat capabilities.
